Needling is not a procedure that suits everyone, and a careful examination and history will be taken beforehand. This procedure is not suitable for individuals below the age of 18. If it is decided that it is the right action to take, an injection of local anesthetic is administered which will make the verruca and surrounding area numb. Once the verruca is numb, the podiatrist will carefully needle the verrucae.
